As part of the Leipziger Buchmesse the Stiftung Sächsische Gedenkstätten, together with the Archiv Bürgerbewegung Leipzig e. V. and the Haus der Demokratie Leipzig e. V., invites you to a discussion with the author about the newly published book about the Dresden State Security District Administration.

Ulrike Bertus (Haus der Demokratie Leipzig) will talk to the historian Dr. Heiko Neumann about his book “Ein Ort für ‘Menschen mit neuem Bewusstsein’. Lebenswelten hauptamtlicher Mitarbeiter der Bezirksverwaltung Dresden des MfS 1950 bis 1989” together with the deputy director of the foundation, Sven Riesel.

Heiko Neumann is a member of the supporting association “Erkenntnis durch Erinnerung e. V.” of the Bautzner Straße Dresden memorial. The book presentation will provide exciting insights into current research findings on the structural and building history as well as the lives of the employees of the Dresden Stasi district administration.
