The Bautzner Straße Dresden Memorial is a place of remembrance, education and encounter as well as historical research. It commemorates the victims of political persecution in the Soviet occupation zone and the GDR, documents their fates and makes them permanently accessible to the public. In addition, it offers those affected space for exchange and encounter and cultivates cooperation with many partner organisations, educational institutions, museums, archives, associations from Saxony, Germany and neighbouring East Central European countries.
