From 1953 to 1989 the area on Bautzner Strasse became the Dresden Stasi district administration. During the tour, the originally preserved remand prison, the vehicle lock with prisoner transporter, reception room, various functional and detention cells as well as the free passage and an interrogation room are shown. In addition, reasons, conditions and individual fates are discussed.

Upon request, a contemporary witness will guide you through the memorial and report on his own experiences in detention.

The offer is aimed at adults and students from grade 9 of all types of schools (especially for the subjects of social studies, history, ethics and religion).
